Moon Studies is a collection of rings as well as a reflection on light in the context of the moon, and it’s ability to draw our attention to the vast distances, immense scale, and delicate insignificance of our existence beneath the infinite expanse of the night sky.
These Moon Studies evoke the night sky, made from solid oxidised sterling silver with diamonds for the shifting phases of the moon. The natural diamonds are stone—echoing the way we refer to the moon’s surface as moon rock—their facets reflecting light back to us, while black diamonds evoke the mysterious presence of the moon's dark side. A delicate gradient of white tones mirrors the nuanced interplay of light across the moon's rugged surface, tracing its deep pits and towering peaks.
The inspiration for this series took shape after witnessing a rare moonbow (lunar rainbow) while driving at dusk in the Far North on a drizzly night. Please note: These rings are delicate and not suited for heavy wear. Wear with care, as oxidisation will fade in contact areas and the scattered diamond surface requires gentle handling.

Ring sizes are in NZ/UK sizing.
Please get in touch to request a specific size if needed.
The most reliable way to size your finger is to visit your local jeweller and have them size it for you. Most other methods are inaccurate and although most rings can be resized an additional fee will be incurred for the labour.
While we aim to match standardised ring sizing, there may be minor variations due to the handmade nature of my rings.

Shipping is available for online purchases within NZ and to Australia. Get in touch if you’d like to request shipping elsewhere.
Pieces within NZ are sent by courier with overnight tracking + signature at a flat rate of $8. We insure pieces up to the value of $20,000, but if you would like cover for a piece above that value, please get in touch to organise.
Please note that shipping to Australia is at a flat rate of $37 for courier- tracked + signature. Please note you may be charged tax and duty fees on pieces above the value of 1000AUD on arrival.

Each piece I create is made to be worn- not just on quiet days, but through the motions of a well lived life and while jewellery is durable it is also precious. It deserves both adventure and care. Once a piece leaves my studio, it enters its own chapter- one shaped by your daily rhythms, gestures and environment. Caring for jewellery is about respecting its material nature while allowing it to live with you. The best loved pieces often show signs of wear, and that is not a flaw. It’s character and a story.
